If i built a bandwagon....I KNOW a bunch of people would be hoppin' on!
Soooo, with that said, I'm going to build that "bandwagon" that I've been meaning to build for over a year now. If they can do it, then WHY NOT me?! My creative juices are flowing now so I'm going to pour some out for everyone to have a sip.
Be prepared for another side Project

You know what sucks...
...about being a professional dancer that doesn't have a large sum of money?!
You can't risk flying yourself to LA when you get an invite to audition for Britney's Tour.
SUCKS DOESN'T IT!?

ABDC 3 Auditions
(Pretending to write as if it's the day after the actual occurence of the following events)
YAY POINT BLANK!
Yesterday was one hell of an experience! Or should I say, Thursday-Sunday was one hell of a ride for Point Blank.
YAY! Our first team thing together, ABDC Season 3 Auditions.
The whole day was just crazy!
We were supposed to wake up at 6am to finish cleaning, but didn't end up waking up until about 8...and technically didn't start moving and getting ready until about 9.
Then we had to buy _____________ because i didn't have mine. Luckily, Hermann's sister had an extra pair that I could use. But before that even happened, i was running from corner store to corner store to see if they had any __________. Then a GENIUS idea popped into my head! Safety Pins HOLLA!
LOL
So we finally get to S.I.R. Studios, definitely a place I've been to before...memories of Madonna World Tour Auditions ::sigh::
Someone remind me to finish this one later!

OK Back to Boston...(LATE)
FAIL!
I'm bad at keeping up with my blog!
But yea, Boston was fun!
At first i was headed there with my crew; Point Blank (minus GiGi)
SO needless to say, the train ride to the city, the missing of our 8 0'clock bus, the missing of the 9 0'clock bus, the late 10 o'clock bus that actually came at almost 11, having priority tickets and PWNING the stupid ass dude who made us miss the 9 o'clock bus, the actual bus ride, the random bitch who sat next to me as if i really wanted to talk to her, the random stopping in the middle of the highway picking up passengers from another broken down bus, watching Jeff, Jim, and Hermann get off the bus at Worcester and later getting a phone call saying they are going to be sleeping there until the morning so they can actually get a taxi (HAHAHA), finally getting to South Station in Boston....
Ummm...did i rant?
Needless to say, the entire trip there was F*&%!NG CRAZY FUN!
SO yea, i taught a piece for the Fusion Dance Troupe Workshop that day. BIG WHOOP! I'm never impressed with what I teach, which leads me to believe that when people say "It was amazing" that they are really saying "I'm going to lie to you and tell you that your choreography is somewhat appealing to me because I'm your friend when I really think that S*&T SUCKS." Funny how I honestly could care less what anyone has to say about my dancing, especially not anyone from the Jersey dance scene..because as far as I'm concerned, I'm still waiting for everyone to get on my level! COCKY?! NO SIR!
So yea, after that went over to a FUSION-ers house and ate thai! YUMMY!
BOSTON DAY 2
Nothing interesting, just watched them practice their sets for their Elements IX showcase. Good shit FUSION!
Then went to Karmaloop Boston and bought a pretty dope hooded cardigan! Yay for friends, and yay for discounts!
BOSTON DAY 3 (UNEXPECTED)
Teaching a piece for Babson College's dance troupe, Hypnotik!
That was fun! Except for the fact that i got off at the wrong station stop at first..hahha
AND the trip back was lame! YAY FUNG-WAH!!
And i walked from Chinatown to WTC and took the PATH to my parents house in Newark!
SLEEP!

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner...for 1 please?!
I think I'm ready to have someone else in my life.
I'm pretty sure I am this time.
Hopefully this time is not like last time.
I won't let last time dictate how this time is going to be.
I hope this is going to be something different.
I'm scared of different, but I'm going to embrace it.
This time.

Annoyed...
I hate when people come up to me and say
"Are you David Arroyo? From FR3SH?"
For once i would like to be known as David Arroyo The Choreographer (or something to that nature).
I made myself the dancer that I am today, not some name, so it doesn't need to be attached to mine!
(Don't get it twisted, I still love the FR3SH Fam....well....some of you niggaz)
My response is going to be "No, I'm David Arroyo: The Choreographer"
or some cocky asshole-ish title i can come up with at the time!
P.S.
Is it weird when people who you don't know, know your name and say they love you?
I guess not...
REMEMBER DAVID, you seek to inspire
Soooo glad I found my passion, my purpose!

I usually (1)bag the hot ones! It's a known fact!
a la urbandictionary.com
1. bag
to "get" a guy/girl, as in to hook up with, go out with, make one's own. It is more common for a guy to bag a girl.
"I bet I could bag her."
....but could it be David is not AS shallow as he used to be!
Let's see! I'm excited!
P.S.
Don't get it twisted, I still bag the hot ones!

I'm madd late...
This past Wednesday I was blessed with the opportunity to be able to teach for a dance group called World Class Dancers (W.C.D.) in Queens, New York.
These kids definitely have something going for them. Besides the fact that they all exhibit such amazing energy when they dance, they ACTUALLY pray. Call me corny, but any dancer that recognizes and acknowledges the presence of GOD in their lives, at their rehearsals, at their performances...has my support. The fact that they pray[ed] before and after practice made me even more honored to be in their presence, in HIS presence. They constantly remind themselves that it's through HIM that all things are possible, that dancing with passion is possible, that being in a safe, positive, family atmosphere at The Rock Church is possible.
And props to The Rock Church for letting them use their space to rehearse. And props to whomever is funding the renovation of the entire building!
I'm all about helping out kids, helping them fight for their passion, helping them fight for something more than what they're given...
Let's not forget why I (along with Katrina Badiola) founded

To create a positive and challenging learning environment that encourages the youth of today to strive and grow beyond their envisioned potential, instilling within them the importance of
commitment, responsibility, self-confidence, and freedom of expression through an experience that each young adult can use inside and outside of the dance studio

FR3SH Juniors was formed in the summer of 2007 from a conversation in a California restaurant between two FR3SH Dance Company captains (David Arroyo & Katrina Badiola). The two took the concept of forming a junior team as an extension of FR3SH Dance Company, not only to educate at-risk-youth about the positive aspects of hip hop culture, but also to give them resources and tools, such as training from world renowned choreographers, performance opportunities, and the ability to make family bonds with their fellow FR3SH Juniors dancers.
Check these kids out!

OMG
I don't think i will ever have to write a blog again after this quote....
"I can't judge any of you. I have no malice against you and no ribbons for you. But I think that it is high time that you all start looking at yourselves, and judging the lie that you live in."
"I can't judge any of you. I have no malice against you and no ribbons for you. But I think that it is high time that you all start looking at yourselves, and judging the lie that you live in."

AGAIN...
Call me completely VAIN for thinking you would even take the time to write a BLOG about my wonderful self, if indeed the blog is not even in any way/shape/form about me.
The only thing I use to my advantage is my talent. Wait can that be taken the wrong way?
Yes it can.
Ex. Talent turns people on.
DAMNIT!
But seriously, I know how it feels to have your feelings taken advantage of, and I'm NOT that type of guy to do that...to anyone! Nor will i ever take advantage of someone who has taken advantage of me.
Sooo, suck my left nut!

SHADY-I have my problems, but in no way am I a SHADY person, nor do I act SHADY, nor do I condone SHADY behavior. I do what I do, and I have my reasons. My intentions are never negative, and sometimes I do things without even knowing I'm doing them.
COCKY-When I need to be, when I'm challenged in a negative way, or when someone acts SHADY towards me.
TIME-There isno such thing as wasting time!
“If time be of all things the most precious, wasting time must be the greatest prodigality.”
That is part of the MANUAL of me.

Lust is easy. Love is hard. Like is most important. ~Carl Reiner
_______
The decision to kiss for the first time is the most crucial in any love story. It changes the relationship of two people much more strongly than even the final surrender; because this kiss already has within it that surrender. ~Emil Ludwig
*OMG THAT QUOTE JUST MADE ME SWOON! ::SIGH::*
_______
Why do people persist in a dissatisfying relationship, unwilling either to work toward solutions or end it and move on? It's because they know changing will lead to the unknown, and most people believe that the unknown will be much more painful than what they're already experiencing. ~Anthony Robbins

I'm so glad I have a soul, a purpose, the passion..not only for life itself, but for helping others.
The reason why I do what I do, is because I am passionate about it.
Thank you to the little boy that cried today...THANK YOU!

I'm Blessed
I'm back from M.I.A. status just to update you all on some of the ish that has been going on...
I KILLED my audition (apparently the only one who did[not a self generated statement]) to get back onto FR3SH Dance Company, and made it onto the new FR3SH Freestyle Crew.
I'm on the Bloc Talent Agency Myspace as one of the top friends (NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL?! LOL)
AANNNDDDD....
If you go to www.BlocNYC.com and you check the scrolling announcements, MY NAME IS THERE TOO!! HOLLA!

ANYWAY...
I BOOKED MY FIRST JOB, A MUSIC VIDEO, AND IT'S A FEATURE ROLE.
BAYJE - "FIND A WAY"
Myspace this chick ASAP, she definitely has the look and the pipes to go far in this industry, not to mention a great management team and a LEGIT record label backing her; Atlantic Records!
And Anthony Mandler, the director of the video, yo, that man is a FUCKIN GENIUS!
THANK YOU LORD FOR BLESSING ME WITH THIS OPPORTUNITY!
P.S.
I am in love with Mel and J from Diane Foster Casting! Thanks for looking out for us through those 2 days!

Replacements...
You can act like i'm just another dancer who can be replaced, but replaced by whom?

Yea, go ahead and try to find someone who does it like I do, who looks as good as I do, has passion for movement like I do, has a love for learning like I do, has a heart and soul with the will to teach like I do.
Better start searching yesterday!
Ugh, if it wasn't for these kids, my decision would be much easier and much less painful!

Cleansing myself of demons that don't belong to me...

"Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds" -Albert Einstein
Maybe now someone else understands me for me after this exciting weekend. If not for this quote, then for my behavior, hospitality, and honesty towards others.
NO, not the Einstein quote, but something I said to someone that was at my house this weekend; "You have no idea what i've been through just because of that entire situation!"
If you dont know, now you know....Niigggaaaaa!!!
Time to let go of the demons that don't belong to me!

THE SHIT HAS HIT THE FAN...
I WILL HAVE YOUR FUCKIN HEAD ON A PLATTER!!!
Bring the popcorn kids, bring the popcorn!
[Note to self] I am unable to put into words how grateful I am that I am NOT and NEVER WILL BE the type of person who would ever deny anyone an opportunity that they so rightfully deserve.
[Note to "ya'll"] I am also unable to put into words how grateful I am for all of your diligence and support in matters that are related both directly and/or indirectly to this situation.
And I leave the group with these 3 quotes...
"The jealous are troublesome to others, but a torment to themselves."
"Jealousy is simply and clearly the fear that you do not have value. Jealousy scans for evidence to prove the point - that others will be preferred and rewarded more than you. There is only one alternative - self-value. If you cannot love yourself, you will not believe that you are loved. You will always think it's a mistake or luck. Take your eyes off others and turn the scanner within. Find the seeds of your jealousy, clear the old voices and experiences. Put all the energy into building your personal and emotional security. Then you will be the one others envy, and you can remember the pain and reach out to them."
Oh, yea, and I love this one...
"A competent and self-confident person is incapable of jealousy in anything. Jealousy is invariably a symptom of neurotic insecurity.”

Left out in the cold...
It's 11:57pm on Thursday March 14, 2008. I just plugged in my Ipod Touch so I can avoid seeing the constant pop up window that says "10% Battery Power Remaning!" I really dont know what I'm going to write, nor the point of even signing on right now. I guess I'll just babble and dabble and recap the events of the past few days.
Wednesday-Woke up exhausted from Madonna auditions, the late night Starbucks run that involved the devouring of a platter of chicken, lamb, rice, and lettuce. Not to mention the enormous amount of that white sauce they provide at that little Halal stand at 53rd and 6th. And yes, I will admit, me stealing an enormous bottle of it did not make any sense whatsoever. Of course i had to top off the night by drinking 2 "Naked" brand Protein drinks, yumm all grainy and shiiii...
SOOOO
Back to Wednesday, woke up exhausted [AND] LATE for work, AGAIN! Luckily I work with probably some of the most loving, generous, and chill people ever that someone [coughMELcough] came in to cover for me [while they were sick as HELL] until I got there and relieved them. I have to say, of all the jobs I've ever held, this one is a KEEPER! Never in my life did I expect to ever become passionate about working in the DENTAL FIELD! You really get a sense of how much your work is really appreciated when you hear the stories of some of these patients [and I use the term patient loosely. Seems more like being visited by a relative sometimes with how friendly the people act.] and they come out of the operatory with a new "grill" and can't stop saying "Thank You." It's the little things yo, forreal, little things make my ass wonder why in the hell GOD made it that we only live a certain number of years. I'm satisfied knowing that I poured the mold for that persons denture, I held the gauze for the plaque to go when their teeth were being scaled, I suctioned the water and saliva out of their mouth when they were getting a filling. BLAH BLAH BLAH, BLAH-ZAY BLAH BLAH BLAH!!
Anyway...
Then I had Juniors practice, YES I LOVE MY KIDS! Today was one of 'those' days, one of those GOOD days at practice. Not that any day with my kids is bad, but it was definitely one of the more memorable practices. These kids really know how to make you just let go of having to be a hard ass all the time and laugh sometimes. [Not that I'm a hard ass all the time, nor most of the time for that matter]
THEN I head home, to Barnegat a.k.a South South Jersey a.k.a Middle of Nowhere. To make a long story short, I had to take a bus to PABT in NYC, get on the GSP Express to Toms River, then WAIT more than an hour IN THE COLD for the 559 to Atlantic City so I can get off at my stop and WALK in the COLD up Route 9 and through the DARKNESS to finally get home at 1:30AM. Yes, you're probably like OMG that's so late, but I'm used to it. When you love and miss someone and want to make things work, you learn to sacrifice in hopes that they would do the same for you. After that night, I'm not too sure the actions I take to see a certain loved one would be reciprocated. Not because of a lack of time or anything, but because of laziness and the ever so common selfishness. Whatever, it's whatever. I'm finally happy I'm getting the recognition for getting my life together and knowing what I'm doing with it.
For once in my life [ok, maybe not once] I don't feel as though I'm just being left out in the cold...
not about life, love, friends, GOD, or anything for that matter! Could it be that I am actually acting like an adult?! WTF! I'm only 21, nikka pleez!! =)
NOTE TO SELF: I hate Loans! And the person who thought of deducting money from your paycheck! GAH!

My First Audition...
So yea, just got back home from my first audition I got sent out on by Bloc.
FUCKING MADONNA WORLD TOUR!? GAH!!
Not gonna lie, the whole process of getting over the [common] audition "jitters" was easier than I thought it would be. I think the whole idea of being there alone and having nobody to push me and motivate me but myself is quite uplifting. It's amazing the things a dancer will demand from not only their physical, but also their mental and spiritual when they really love what they do! If I didn't love it, nor plan on loving it more and more everyday like I do now, then I would never even think of pushing my body, mind, and soul.
ANYWAY...
Let me get to the point. For my first BIG and REAL audition, I'd give myself a 7 out of 10. There were of course times when I thought about just packing up and getting the hell out of that big hot ass room, but I realized I'd gain so much more if I stayed and busted my ass dancing to choreography that was somewhat out of my comfort zone. I've come to learn that it's not always about what I know and what I can be 'fierce' at, but what I can ultimately and undoubtedly learn...and I have to be open to different styles, not because that's what the industry demands of me as a dancer, that is what I DEMAND OF MYSELF! TO BE OPEN MINDED AND WILLING TO LEARN AND ADAPT!
Needless to say...Rich and Tone Talauega are GENIUS!
I didn't make it all the way through, but I enjoyed myself. Thank GOD, at least I enjoyed myself and didn't look like a complete and utter idiot. I'll write more later.
...and this post is probably the most boring shit you've ever read.
