This past Wednesday I was blessed with the opportunity to be able to teach for a dance group called World Class Dancers (W.C.D.) in Queens, New York.
These kids definitely have something going for them. Besides the fact that they all exhibit such amazing energy when they dance, they ACTUALLY pray. Call me corny, but any dancer that recognizes and acknowledges the presence of GOD in their lives, at their rehearsals, at their performances...has my support. The fact that they pray[ed] before and after practice made me even more honored to be in their presence, in HIS presence. They constantly remind themselves that it's through HIM that all things are possible, that dancing with passion is possible, that being in a safe, positive, family atmosphere at The Rock Church is possible.
And props to The Rock Church for letting them use their space to rehearse. And props to whomever is funding the renovation of the entire building!
I'm all about helping out kids, helping them fight for their passion, helping them fight for something more than what they're given...
Let's not forget why I (along with Katrina Badiola) founded

To create a positive and challenging learning environment that encourages the youth of today to strive and grow beyond their envisioned potential, instilling within them the importance of
commitment, responsibility, self-confidence, and freedom of expression through an experience that each young adult can use inside and outside of the dance studio
FR3SH Juniors was formed in the summer of 2007 from a conversation in a California restaurant between two FR3SH Dance Company captains (David Arroyo & Katrina Badiola). The two took the concept of forming a junior team as an extension of FR3SH Dance Company, not only to educate at-risk-youth about the positive aspects of hip hop culture, but also to give them resources and tools, such as training from world renowned choreographers, performance opportunities, and the ability to make family bonds with their fellow FR3SH Juniors dancers.Check these kids out!
